Set up in 2003, we are specialists in offering sailing and powerboat experience days out for individuals, groups and corporate parties.

Blue Box Sailing are not a broker, selling on other peoples products, here you are dealing direct with the company that takes you out on the water.

We provide sailing experiences aboard Whitbread 60 Blueprint and Clipper 60 Taeping, both Around the World Ocean Race Yachts, and powerboat blasts aboard our 200hp RIB Bluesprint.

Blue Box Sailing was set up in February 2003 by Jono and Lisa. The concept behind the business was to make sailing aboard high-performance ocean race yachts available to everyone - not just professional racing sailors.

The story of the delivery trip back from snowy Sweden to bring Whitbread 60 Blueprint back to Southampton could fill a page on its own. But thanks to an ice breaker and some very helpful Scandinavians, she made it back in time for our first season in 2003!

Since then Jono and Lisa have continued to work tirelessly to raise the profile of sailing as a sport anyone can try with a range of sailing days out on both the Whitbread 60 and, as of 2007, aboard the new addition to the fleet, Clipper 60 Taeping.

Lisa is responsible for everything business. She runs the day to day admin in the office, taking the bookings and chatting to all the nice people on the phone. When not in the office, Lisa loves nothing more than getting back in a dinghy - as long as it's windy.

Jono is senior skipper and responsible for everything boats and sailing, including staff training and skippering the Whitbread 60. When not sailing he can usually be found in front of his computer working on the website.

Dan is fleet manger and is responsible for the day to day running of the boats and waterside part of the business. Joining the team in early 2008 he also 1st Mates aboard the Whitbread. When not on the water with Blue Box, he can usually be found hanging onto a windsurf board crossing the Solent at high speed. Frightened of silence, Dan is always one for a good chat.

James is Skipper of Clipper 60 Taeping and works alongside Dan to ensure all the boats are looking their best. Being a Cornish man and growing up by the water, James brings plently of sailing experience with him. When not on the water, he's keen to get on the slopes. Apparently he's a bit handy with racket sports as well...
